Matthew Felner
PRESIDENT
Matt Felner is the President of Felner Corporation, a leading community association management firm serving Connecticut. Over the past 16 years, he has grown the organization from a team of 7 employees to more than 120 professionals who collectively support approximately 300 properties across all property types across the state, from Greenwich to Hartford to Madison.
Matt is deeply involved in the firm’s day-to-day operations and governance work. Over the course of his career, he has attended and stewarded more than 5,000 board meetings—an experience he jokingly refers to as both a badge of honor and a personal endurance test. His primary focus is advising Boards of Directors on governance best practices, reserve funding, capital planning, financing strategies, and long-term association sustainability.
He has also been actively involved with the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and regularly works with board members and industry professionals to improve operational standards and financial stewardship within community associations.
Matt holds a degree in Economics and History from Miami University (Ohio). He lives in Newtown, Connecticut with his wife and their four children.
